RMECC Keynote Speakers
Friday Morning Keynote — Rear Admiral Casey W. Coane
Rear Admiral Casey W. Coane with Mission: Readiness will kickoff the 2014 RMECC. A trained P3 maritime patrol/reconnaissance and antisubmarine warfare pilot, Rear Admiral Coane's 34-year military career consisted of 11 years of active duty and 23 years of reserve duty. Mission: Readiness is a national security nonprofit of hundreds of retired flag and general officers who travel the country to spread the word that investing early in the upcoming generation is critical to securing our nation's future.
Friday Luncheon Keynote — Sherri Killins, Ed.D
Dr. Sherri Killins, Former Commissioner of Early Education and Care for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, has worked as an advocate for children and families for more than 25 years — both as a provider of direct care, and in leadership roles on issues relating to children and families.
Saturday Luncheon Keynote — Dr. Dana Suskind
Dana Suskind is Professor of Surgery at the University of Chicago and Director of the Pediatric Cochlear Implant Program. The Thirty Million Words Initiative, which she both founded and directs, is based on scientific research demonstrating the critical importance of early language exposure on the developing child.
