Colorado Convention Center
Mission / History
Since 2016, the Rocky Mountain Early Childhood Conference has been a partnership between the Colorado Association for the Education of Young Children, Denver's Early Childhood Council, and the Early Childhood Council Leadership Alliance. It is designed to meet the professional development needs of early childhood practitioners while at the same time providing a forum for community advocates to learn, share, and network.
Beginning in 2011, the Colorado Association for the Education of Young Children, Denver Preschool Program, Colorado Head Start Association, and Early Childhood Education Association of Colorado, came together to sponsor a regional conference focused on the many challenges and facets of the early childhood field. By forgoing individual conferences and instead combining efforts to produce a single event, these organizations sought to enhance the coordination among early childhood initiatives and programs, increase availability of professional development and training, and more effectively advance the agenda for early care and education. This collaboration provides a platform to hear and learn from a broad range of thought leaders, practitioners, and experts representing the wide variety of fields that impact early care and education.
While the hosting partners have changed over time, the Rocky Mountain Early Childhood Conference maintains a strong commitment to providing an exceptional and high quality event for the early childhood community to come together.
